Barcode (EAN)

The scannable barcode on the back cover that encodes your ISBN and sometimes the price.

Book barcodes use the EAN-13 format, built from your ISBN. Stores scan it at the register.

Leave room for it on your back cover, usually near the bottom, on a white or light background so it scans cleanly.
