Terms of service

These terms cover ordering printed books and related services from The Honest Print, which is run by Genesis CRTV, doing business as Seven Day Studio ("we" and "us" on these pages). By requesting a quote or paying for an order, you agree to them. We have tried to write them in plain language. If anything is unclear, ask us.

Your content

• You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything in the files you send us: text, images, illustrations, fonts and logos.
• You keep all rights to your work. You give us permission to use your files only to check, proof, print, ship and support your order.
• You are responsible for your content. If someone makes a claim against us because of content you sent, you agree to cover the costs that result.

What we will not print

We may refuse any job for any reason, and we will refund anything you have paid for a job we refuse. We do not print content that is illegal, that infringes someone else's rights, that sexually exploits anyone, or that promotes violence or hatred against people.

Quotes and prices

• A quote is our offer to print your book as described, shipped to the address in the quote, for the total shown. Shipping is included.
• Quotes are good for 10 days from the date we send them. After that, prices may change and you can ask for a fresh quote.
• Full payment is due when you accept a quote. We start work after payment.
• If you change your files, specs, quantity or shipping address after your quote, we will need to quote again.

Your files, the file check and your approval

• Our file check looks for common print problems, but it cannot catch everything. You are responsible for reviewing your files and your proof.
• If our check flags an issue and you choose to continue, you accept responsibility for how that issue appears in print. We record your choice with your order.
• Our AI-assisted fixes are only applied to your files if you approve them. You are responsible for reviewing the result.
• When you approve your proof, you confirm that it is correct and ready to print. We print what you approved.

Printed proofs

A printed proof is optional and costs extra. It is printed separately from your order, so its paper and color may differ slightly from your final run, and it can add about 1 to 2 weeks to your order.

Delivery

• Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Printing and shipping depend on suppliers and carriers we do not control.
• If your order runs late, we will tell you what we know and when you will hear from us next.
• Your books ship to the address you give at checkout. Please make sure it is correct.
• International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes or fees in the destination country. Unless your quote says otherwise, those are your responsibility.

Color and materials

Colors on screens and in PDF proofs look different from ink on paper. Small variations in color, trim and materials between copies and between print runs are normal in printing and are not defects.

Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost sales or missed events. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The version in effect when you accept a quote applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. Questions? Contact us.
