Case wrap (case binding)

A case-bound hardcover has a cover made of rigid board, called the case. In a printed case wrap, your cover art is printed on paper and wrapped around the boards.

The art folds around the board edges, so a case wrap needs a wider wrap area than a paperback's bleed. Always build from the case template for your exact book.
