Perfect binding

The usual paperback binding: pages glued into a wraparound cover at the spine.

In perfect binding, the pages are gathered, the spine edge is glued, and a single printed cover wraps around them.

It's the binding on most paperbacks. Some paperbacks are also sewn before gluing for extra strength.
